Todd was 21 years old when got himself into motocross. It’s always been his passion but he
didn’t have the funds until he got older. What he enjoys most about motocross is the adrenaline
rush that comes with riding and the physical hard work that is needed to perform well.
He picked the bike #72s because he lost his Mother during covid and her birthday was July 2nd .
Unfortunately, 72 was taken so he added the “s” because her name was Susan.
Todd found out about AZ VET from Chuck Johnson when he ran into him out on Motoland. Chuck
told him that if he wanted to start racing that the club would be a great place to start.
He has raced in the last 2 AZ VET International races but he enjoyed this last one at Motoland
more because he took 1st place in his class especially when he had to race against people from all
over the west coast.
When I asked Todd how competitive he is when it comes to racing motocross, he said he was a 7
right now but when the race starts… his mind goes directly into race mode and he becomes a 10.
One of his goals is to learn how to compete at a “4 or 5” instead so that he can still be racing when
he’s 65 years old.
